Imagine if a bunch of people showed up in their Priuses and Leafs and Teslas or whatever and held up traffic. I love cars of all types including classics but I bet many of these MAGA boomers get triggered by the thought of any vehicle that dares to try and reduce global carbon emissions.

“I love everything about this van except for its lack of the Pentastar hood ornament that was standard on U.S. models (this is likely for European pedestrian protection reasons).”

What about the Boeing 747 design would have made a full length upper deck too hard to evacuate? How did the Airbus A380 manage to satisfy safety regulations that a similar 747 wouldn’t have?

Driving around San Francisco in summer 2017 (in a rented Smart Fortwo lol) I passed by a street parked Audi A1. Kind of ironic it was never officially sold there, a compact AWD hatch honestly seems like an ideal vehicle to zip around the crowded hilly streets of SF.

I think the thousands of 2007 first gen Fits sold in the U.S. beg to differ...

Panamera with butt implants is more the aesthetic I’m getting...

Statistics are great... at being misleading. For example over 50% of the accidents and fatalities in 2018 involved a Boeing 737, significantly more than any other plane type. Logically, this means that the 737 is a horrible deathtrap that is risking lives every time it takes flight, right?

BMWs do flash under hard braking, just not in the US because it didn’t meet the wonderful DOT standards from the 1960s we still use for some reason. Instead, they illuminate the rear fog lights (mandatory in Europe but disabled only for US market BMWs) as well as the regular brake lights. With a cheap OBD dongle and

Just looking up images of fuel gauges, I wasn’t able to find a single example of a gas pump symbol with the handle on the left side. For whatever reason it seems like all manufactures have standardized the right handle orientation, so this theory would only be accurate on vehicles you fill on the right.

The overall profile + window shape makes me think Civic hatch.

Are you sure? Looking at pictures of quattro badges on the A3, A4, A7, and Q7 they all have a lowercase q.

I understand how some people might not like the aesthetics of a tablet style infotainment screen, and that’s a perfectly valid argument against them. However, you can’t assume that they are more vulnerable to damage than other styles without some evidence to back it up, and I think that is why everyone is coming for

Toyota bean counters who predict this won’t sell in America aren’t thinking hard enough... Just throw some plastic cladding on it and raise it a couple inches, call it the “CrossCorolla” or some crap like that. Americans won’t be able to keep their hands off it!

26 mph? What is it, a shopping cart?

Just wait for the inevitable “unarmed person of color run over by cop” headlines to drop...

That’s literally the point he’s trying to make. These college educated millennials are not taking these dealer jobs, because they would rather go for something with a stable, guaranteed income.

So the guy crashed a plane into a wooded area. Big deal. It may be worth millions of dollars but it’s also insured and the corporations involved will brush it off as a relatively minor loss. You could also argue environmental damage to the immediate area where the crash occurred, but again that is extremely minor in

I agree 100%, as does most of the world besides America. Sadly our pool of available hatchbacks is severely limited compared to basically anywhere else and that makes me very sad.
