How can Americans afford these types of sentimental, overpriced purchases with all the GLOBAL CHAOS, IMMIGRANT INVASION, and CRAZY INFLATION!?!?!?

The oval office desk drawer with the knob for car insurance prices is right under the drawer with the knob for gas prices. It would be easy to lower prices, but Biden just keeps cranking those knobs up. Sad!
Let’s be clear. Planned parenthood just called me to see if I wanted them to legally kill my teenager, there’s a gang outside my house preparing to roast the neighborhood dogs, and I just paid for an Ecuadorian serial killer to get a top surgery. This has to stop!
I’m the most honest person in the history of mankind. Nobody is more honest than me! That’s what they’re saying all over the place. Even the Totally Corrupt Communist News Network (CNN) is writing front page stories about it. My cars are the best, look, we have just the best cars. And we make the best deals. I think…

You and I used the same metric in reference to the earlier article of 1.9B for the bridge. That just seems bonkers to me, but government and military spending is pretty much endless and can be inflated to mass amounts with no questions asked.
So for only the price of ~7 baltimore bridges, we get a plane that will keep a dozen or so rich and powerful people alive for a few hours longer than the rest of us proles. Will they land on a bomb-proof runway outside of vault 114?
It’s the car they* didnt want you** to have.
And this is why you go to the buyer’s bank and watch as he/she goes up to the counter and orders a bank check or withdraws the cash....
You guys are really struggling for material, eh? It’s a (relatively) low-mileage, very low-price (for the brand, package and even the model year) performance-luxury oddity. Yes, you can buy any number of different cars for the money (most of which wouldn’t actually offer either the performance or the luxury, btw -…
It wasn’t long ago when CEOs were essentially telling the public, and shareholders that the days of full car lots were more or less a thing of the past.
We’re now acting like dinosaurs gigling at the fast approaching comet ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Civic or Corolla.
It isn’t called a Cayman, the article is just mentioning the Cayman in several places to draw comparisons. This is the same naming scheme as the Boxster Spyder they already made.
They all tie for 7th place. I love the car, but the color selection is criminal.
Great review. I do find myself in the enviable position of being truly torn between this and the GR86. I’ve been driving my lightly modded FRS for going on 11 years now and I still really enjoy it. I do think the 1st gen Toyobaru looks a little better than the new one, but having finally seen the GR86 in real life up…
“I’d like another car that I could also rent on TURO, and that my girlfriend would be able to drive when not rented out.”
Its scary because the point of the hot rod wagon/sedan was the consumer who couldn’t afford two cars. Now it is cheaper to buy one suv and one sports car than it is to get this which breaks my heart because the RS4 Avant was one of my first loves.
Very true and unfortunately, manufacturers are focusing on expensive station wagon when regular, affordable wagons can be so much fun. A VW sportswagon is a very good example (I mean now we are getting a Taos instead...) or a Focus station wagon in Europe. Yes I get it, no Americans want to buy them and manufacturers…
I think the “upper” middle class might have moved financially from where people consider it to be over the last half a decade.
