It could've been really easy for this episode to go with the "Isn't an AI really human after all?" angle, and I'm really glad it didn't. In fact, it went excellently in the opposite direction by showing the inherent unreality of artificial intelligence.
Turn might be good if it doesn't go "rah-rah America!" and instead lends some depth to a conflict that is waaaaaaaaay over-simplified and hugely misrepresented in the popular consciousness.
I wish Verhoeven would hurry up and make his Jesus movie. If it ever comes out, it will be the most controversial thing in recent Western history. It'll be wonderful.
