Magazines don’t test long term reliability. And compared to something like a 5 series, the Tesla is poorly equipped with poor materials.

So, Tesla is basically doing this to reduce warranty claims with their cars. Does it feel that every claim that Tesla makes should have asterix beside it?

Then they should be up front and have this in their paperwork. This sounds more like how Tesla now limits the number of times you can launch it in ludicrous mode all without informing the owner.

theres such a thing as taking the joke too far, you know

What’s also surprising is that these “real people” “don’t know” it’s a Chevy, but they apparently can say that it looks like a BMW and a Tesla. So clearly they have brand recognition, but apparently not for one of the most common brands in mainstream America. That should be an insult for Chevy, not a compliment.

That this is not universally hated across the US makes me think our great country is on the downward slope as a society.

I like (hate, I actually hate it) when people say “I had this as a rental and it was TURRRRIBLE” because for one reason only...

Plenty of carriers allow you to transfer (which in practice is actually a cancellation/part-refund/rebooking - see, even if there isn’t a way, there’s always a way) so why not offer this - it’s not about terrorism, it’s about a failure to make reasonable decisions. Nope. The Soul will forever look like a hamster and nothing else.

The examples may be specific but it’s a very real and broad concern. When a law is crafted to extrapolate intent from presence or possession you have problems and you get definition creep.

My guess - informed by very little - is that their objection is that it’s evidence of intent to harass. That’s not necessarily the case: many people just think it’s cool in its own right, or are just doing it to show off.

Like, is there some legitimate reason someone would modify their diesel truck to do that that I’m missing?

It gets to the heart of I fear I’ve had before... What if you bought a truck used and was unaware of, and never used the switch, but it was discovered by an asshole cop who now charges you with “intent to roll coal” even though you didn’t have any such intent.

I don’t want an alarm in my classic car, but a previous

Yearly testing for senior citizens and affordable mass transit. Until then, stories like this one will be all too common.

I want to live in a world where a 128$ isnt alot of money... not to mention the day missed of work to go to court (probably at minimum another 100$ at a lower income job).

It can drag race...if you install a rollcage. It’s not banned. Stop with this “banned by the NHRA” bullshit.

Comes with them and a pair of road going fronts as standard equipment. Everything tucks in to a special compartment in the trunk. You are meant to change at the drag strip.

I’d argue that the Demon is the opposite to “pointless power”. It has an intended purpose, and it comes with tires and launch control to help use all the power. The hood scoop and thin front tires are also meant to aid in it’s intended purpose of putting down fast times on the drag strip. It’s about as pure “function
