Very simple fact. Had Kevin Ward Jr. not exited his race car and walked down the racing surface, he would still be alive. Everything else in this case is irrelevant. If I pull my car over on the shoulder and get out, stepping in front of a semi, is it my fault or the semi driver’s fault?

Hey, Ballaban. Talk to you for a second?

Ummm... the rotors aren’t aluminum... the rotor hubs and calipers are. Rotors are either steel or some sort of carbon mix (carbon-ceramic or carbon-carbon). I don’t think anything heavier than a bicycle would use aluminum for it’s rotors, it just wouldn’t work.

Agreed. This should’ve been a Durango Hellcat. Not necessarily to the exclusion of the Grand Cherokee, but if they’re only doing one of them, the Durango should’ve been the one. If they’re eventually going to Hellcat both, the Durango should’ve been first.

Honestly, I could have done without a Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. The Durango should have gotten this instead of its “regular” SRT version. No word on pricing yet?

Oh a $1.2MM “Lotus”. You could instead get a Demon(for the drag). a McLaren 675LT(for the track) and a V12 Vanquish(to cruise) and still have over $500k to do whatever you want with and not have to drive a $1.2MM “Lotus” built by a crook.

Both of those cars have roll BARS, not roll CAGES.

We’re talking about a cage for a car the NHRA banned because it doesn’t have a cage. Use fucking context clues.

love you haters with the weight problem as it blows the shit out of what your driving

Because driving a car with a cage without a helmet is a death wish...

Cages and harnesses aren’t street legal. Ever sit in a caged car without the harness and a helmet and see how close your noggin is to that steel tubing? Not something you want to think about.

Remember when you kept saying it was just a gutted hellcat...and I tried to tell you it was more than that....

These numbers are NHRA certified, right? How is that less credible than MOTORTREND that has auto journalists running the strip in reverse?

So, 3 things:

That. Is. Awesome! Forget all the negativity, this is a street car that is utterly ridiculous. I for one, am going to give the people at SRT a nice and long slow clap for bringing this thing into reality.

It’s called “drag racing”, and people already spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on cars to race and win. Just like people spend similar amounts of money on cars in order to win on courses with turns.

2 Things:

What did all the cryptic license plate numbers mean???

I don’t necessarily want one of these, but I love it, and I love the fact that there was an automaker crazy enough to build it.

Its 2017, and somehow, This Demon not only exists, its the (very near) future.
