Completely honest question here... Why would road-racing rule out an automatic transmission that will shift faster and never miss a gear?

This is not always true, at all. 

Work at a dealer, have never charged sales tax based on the dealer address.  Even for out of state it is the tax rate where it is being registered.  Anything else is literally just laziness.  It takes 2 minutes. 

Most banks only allow 2 points though.  So idk thats a big jump.

You never start high and work down.  You go the opposite.  It’s how you actually make good money in the industry.  You start under someone’s budget... then move into their budget, then go above if needed.  Show someone something that is expensive and risk losing gross.  

The early 9 speeds were awful. I haven’t heard much in the way of complaints since then though.

Yeah, but can the Ford consistently run 800+ hp and still be reliable enough that Ford would warranty it?

I haven’t done a lot of homework on the ford v8, but Dodge is pulling over 800 hp out of the hellcat engine and still putting it under warranty, where Ford has chosen not to compete there. To me that just says they don’t believe the engine is reliable at those figures.

People don’t buy small affordable trucks.  Convince consumers to buy them and they would, but this is VERY clearly evidenced when you look at numbers for midsize vs full size truck sales.  But sure, blame the company that actually reads the market for doing what the market wants.  

But they really only undercut the Ram if you don’t get the same equipment...

Are you living in 2005?  The 8 speed transmission in the Ram is one of the highest rated transmissions in the market... The interior BLOWS AWAY any offering from Ford or GM too. 

Because a pulley swap makes it well more?

I can throw gas cans in the back of a Raptor or TRX, do I just carry like... 4800 of those pocket batteries that people use for phones for the Hummer?

Its a lug wheel. 5 spokes would look ridiculous with 6 lugs.
