Goosebumps all over when Bobby caught Laura's picture and they punched in the theme.

So we've had the Chromatics and Au Revoir Simone showing up in credit sequences within 4 episodes. Who else is on the way, any requests to the Bang Bang Bar booking agent?
My top 5 wishlist (in no particular order)
1. Rammstein - the perfect Lost Highway crossover
2. Nick Cave - I think we can probably agree he's…
Also, Chromatics at the end <triple handclap="" emoji="">
"I knew I was in good hands when the two lovers got turned into blood sausage by a tear in the fabric of space time"
I just got through the first four eps and suddenly thought "holy shit there are only 14 hours left of this madness. Damn."
Having the Chromatics there to blast out sounds of pure nostalgia didn't hurt either.
You're right it's the least Fargo-y, but it has a crazy amount of great characters (and brilliant performances) and a very ambitious plot that somehow worked, and was spectacular visually and score-wise.
If you understand the mechanisms that are being criticized, no it's not. But most people who support such politicians or parties don't recognize the methods that are being used to sway them.
Starting to lose a bit of patience with this season, which I suppose might have a lot to do with the standard being set too high by season 2.
Maybe this has been mentioned here before but if not, am I the only one to get a kick out of the brief but pointed portrayal of Russian interference with American politics? Not to mention Daisy's shouting about Aida trying to create a fascist state by fueling fear and hate. Brilliantly subtle job by the writers this…
One can hope right? :)
And sure I'll keep watching for now despite my grumbling, but there's so much good TV these days that if this issue gets worse or something else starts bothering me I'll probably switch off and go get the book instead (which I plan to do anyway).
Exactly, they don't even have to be of the exact same ethnicity so long as they can pull it off, like Ian McShane does. If they're supposed to be Americanized that's fine, have them have an American accent, but whatever you're going for make sure you have someone that can do it well.
That's unnecessary and inappropriate sarcasm, genes and DNA have nothing to do with it unless you're a racist. An actor needs to be convincing in the language/accent of the character they're portraying.
I don't buy that as an excuse anymore, Narcos did well despite extensive sequences in Spanish with subtitles (let's forget for a moment the Brazilian actor playing Escobar). So did Inglorious Basterds, The Young Pope and even Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones (in a made up language no less) had long subtitled scenes.…
Then why do they have non-American accents?
Most of everything in this show to do with language or accents leaves something to be desired, which is a shame as that has a pretty strong tie to some of its main themes, and otherwise it's been pretty good so far.
It's been a decent ride so far, thank god for Ian McShane and the spectacular visuals. But for a show that purports to involve itself with themes of culture and immigration they really need to do a better job with language and accents. There's no good reason why those two Arabic men/beings would suddenly switch to…
This show might be even more maximalist than The Get Down.
Ok, probably not, but the fact that it's even close is impressive. The saturated colour palette is a bit off-putting at times but otherwise we're doing ok.
Apart from the accents. I don't even have to know which eastern European country they're supposed to be from, none of them sounded like they're from any of them.
Yes, and Hector Salamanca is Mexican. Is that really all you took out of my comment?
