Agreed. I have thought about a classic EV conversion but they max out around 100 miles range. I like to drive my sports cars into the mountains and back out in one day, often traveling 200 miles or more. There are few (no?) fast chargers where I am going so it has to make the trip on a single charge.

Your point regarding power and tire grip make sense. However, downforce changes with speed and angle of attack making the grip variable during a drift. None of the cars in your example video have appreciable downforce.
