Love the idea but you have to get more interesting cars for your future workouts. Think Jalops in Cars Getting Buff. From now on Erica gets to workout with every car from the press pool before it gets hooned.

It’s because the sound is dubbed over the video. If that was a Ferrari going up through 5th gear the scenery and other cars would go by a lot faster. It took me a long time to figure that out too because I wanted to believe it was as awesome as it first appears.

Since when has a rational evaluation of quality and value been the primary driver of car choice? Price, style, brand biases, advertising, and sometimes even serendipity play a part in what you choose. Otherwise, we’d all be driving Honda Civics.

The exterior of the Fiero is quite attractive. The 4 cylinders are weak and unrefined but the GT is rather good. The interior however is bad 80s GM. Cheap materials, poor fit, square cornered cluster design, and a tall non-ergonomic shifter location. I hope they survive because they are quirky cool but realistically th

I proudly tow my trailer with a beat up 2003 Toyota Tundra. It is nimble, powerful enough (I tow a 6000 lb enclosed trailer), reasonably efficient, and I can actually see into the bed. If I could replace it with something similar I would.

A high-powered rifle in an auto ad? Wow, how times have changed.

My Lotus weighs 990 lbs at the racetrack! It is a thin steel tube frame covered in aluminum foil with an all aluminum Coventry Climax 1500cc 4 cylinder engine. At the end of the Road Atlanta back straight I am going 132mph. And if don’t actually think about those facts, it is very fun.

Makes you wonder if Chevy could have converted their Rampside/Loadside platform into a sport truck.

I didn’t appreciate or understand my Corvair at the time. By way of atonement, I saved a derelict and take good care of it.

Ha! My first car was a 1967 Corvair. After I wrecked it I replaced it with a 1974 Renault 12TL! I wrecked it too. :-(

Heads up displays (HUD) create an image on glass focused at infinity that the pilot (or driver) can look through which eliminates distracting head movements. On a more Jalopnik note, my team built a prototype car HUD for GM in 1982. We installed it in a pre-production third gen Pontiac Firebird. We did tons of work

No race team, just me. My friend and I have ‘56 Lotus Elevens that we prep and drag around for vintage races.

New Pacer vs. Old Pacer is like choosing your prom date from Roseanne Barr and Kathy Bates.

As a Corvair guy I am utterly ashamed I did not know of this fantastical beast. Thank you for sharing.

I threw some quarters into that game!

I think Tank Battle and Asteroids were the signature vector graphics arcade games. My first job was programming Heads Up Displays for the military. They were all vector graphics and we had various icons such as horizon line, fuel and airspeed indicators, range to target, and aiming reticles (targets) that we had to
