1965 called. They want their graphics back.

I am totally in favor of capitalism and I am an avid consumer. I do try to buy things of good design, quality, and durability. My problem is when you have government actively promoting rampant consumerism. The ‘do your patriotic duty and go buy something (anything!!) it’s good for the country’ attitude.

When did we become giant coal slaves to “the economy”? Must keep consuming, must keep consuming... even if it is bad for us... because the economy. Must feed the beast.

Cash for Clunkers. Let’s incentivize people to make a large credit purchase in an unstable economic situation. What could go wrong?

You can have suburban antiseptic America with an HOA or anything goes America that might be nice or might have cars up on blocks next door. There are plenty of both, even in Florida. The only real way to control your environment is to buy enough land that you can’t see your neighbors.

And that Ellie Mae!

Trying to make up for the loss of pottymouth Kristen.

Neutral: David Tracy would be reviving Jeep cockroaches for everyone! Seriously, there is enough vehicle stock in the world to last a good long time. We might have to Cuba up a few Jalops but damn, that would be awesome.

He’s right in that if you follow his advice, 95% of the time you will have good outcome. Could you achieve a better one? Yeah probably but the people who call his show couldn’t. They already know the right answer but are asking for someone to tell them to do it because they have no self control.

Dave Ramsey is an annoying prick. He’s also right.

If you are lower income and don’t want to stay that way (saving to start a business, buy a house, go to school), then yeah, you should never buy a new car.

The rules are the same. Don’t buy it if you can’t afford it and you will be just fine in 15 years like the boomers.

That ladies and gentlemen, is how you do a dashboard. I love old instruments.

I love the V-rod. IMO it was the coolest thing Harley has built in many years. This is why re-branding will not work for H-D. Their culture (current customers and dealers) is very insular and will reject anything different.

It’s like buying a Corvette, Lambo, or flying a Confederate flag. Sure there are people that don’t match the stereotype but when you willingly adopt the brand you will associated with those that do.
I’ve got a doctor friend who rides a Harley. No cosplay leather, no super loud pipes, just a motorcycle. I have no idea

I’m in. Beats wrenching on the Fiat, that spawn of Satan.

Many older cars with generators do not create enough extra power at idle to add much charge to the battery. Anyone featuring an NSU Prinz on their article should know that.

When she first started at Jalopnik I thought, “Interesting, she has created various personas to write under, Fancy Kristen and FU Kristen.” Then I realized FU Kristen was just plain Kristen. I fucking loved FU Kristen. Best of luck, pottymouth.

It is great that a construction worker can now get a more efficient pickup. What is not great is that people are choosing a 19MPG pickup as a one person commuter vehicle instead of a 40MPG car/CUV - because efficiency is not that important to them.

But not as good as a physical rotary knob with detents.
