As a fanatically maniacal fan of Liverpool myself, that would be my exact reaction to wearing a Man Utd cap if I was an established name like Affleck. Perfectly understandable why someone from Boston would’nt wanna wear a Yankees cap.

That was the most obvious offside, and the refs should not get another game for missing that a guy was literally lying in an offside position.

Agree totally. I’ve used the “puritanical” term many times myself. Whether it’s people on the Root/Jezebel/Splinter, they attack anyone not “pure enough” from birth, i.e. the Sarandon effect.

Actually, I think the US needs a reality check like other countries around the world, in that the 2 party system is only in existence because that’s what America is accustomed to (& what the lobbyists encourage)
