Because a key attribute of calling yourself a leftist is pretending that anything that improves people’s lives in a way that is not as comprehensive as socialism would have is actually doing a bad thing.

I still have nightmares related to the minigames in the first one... the man in denial about his wife being dead, the guy stealing children. Shit was so good and really captured this sense of the frontier. 

While I liked the plot of RDR1 a lot, it was a really fun game to sandbox in. I’d be okay with a game that had almost no plot 

I felt that way in season 9

The show had a really long lead time to make episodes and the expensive of investigating the “mysteries” was ultimately deemed not worth it... there was already the suggestion that the 9/11 vanity plate episode had a fictional ending in order to meet deadlines.

I personally love that Serial has committed to confounding and frustrating an audience who only wants it to be one thing. 

I mean, that was their look circa Sam’s Town. The flannel and mustaches are just peak mid-aughts hipsterdom. You’re reading too much into the fashion choices of a band who partially trace their origins to the fact that the singer and guitarist both exclusively bought their shoes at Clark’s to be like Oasis. 

I feel like this is less a parody of Seinfeld2000 and more a parody of SeinfeldToday, which Seinfeld2000 was initially parodying before it became more popular in it’s own right. 

I’m not a major fan of CN so I can’t say this definitively, but wouldn’t be at least somewhat accurate to say that Adventure Time really paved the way for what came next? Or was at the vanguard along with Regular Show?

The affiliation with Chapo is mostly geographic and due to both being extensions of Weird Twitter. Basically several of the Chapos (Felix and Virgil, mainly) are friends with the Cumboys and Nick was Amber Frost’s roommate at one time.

While this is a less t00-good-to-be-true deal, this is still a steal that will keep me subscribed to MoviePass for the time being. 

People keep talking about the properties Disney will now own, but other than Marvel I really doubt they are going to tinker much with the existing formulas of these properties.

I mean, I would say that’s on consumers who chose to prepay in that way. I bought in this past week assuming it would only be around for a few more weeks. I’ve seen 3 movies for $10. It was great.

I think it’s like The OC... good first season that strikes the right balance of grounded and bat shit fun, followed by dozens of attempts to re-calibrate that balance which all fail for one reason or another.
