Yea thats a good point, I think Vic is obviously just the smarter of the two brothers. But i really cant think of a show that does it as well where the main character wins but loses so thoroughly.

I think about the Shield's ending almost every time I watch a tv finale now. its the bar that I don't think can really be touched. An amazing and touching way to close out a character that was so deeply complex, youre never really sure how you feel about him.

I wouldnt even use The Shield and this show in the same sentence.That was one of the best endings in television history and you think this was even worth mentioning in the same breath.

This show couldn't have fulfilled more silly stereotypes of good vs evil. The depth is overrated and this show will soon be forgotten. There will be blood is by far the best movie of the past 15 years. Hopefully time will set the record straight. Daniel Day Lewis delivered one of the greatest performances in a nuanced amazing film.
