My personal favourite, “Star of Wonder” by the Roches. It has a lyrical, floating quality that completely transports me to that distant hill on that special night. There is a feeling of being on the threshold of something momentous and being unsure whether to take the first step.

Great. Now I miss Warehouse 13 again.

I wish they made a movie/show about Jurassic park, but everything actually works. Like nothing goes wrong and people just go about their day.

Oh my lord... MARVEL. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, GO BIG. You’re adapting comic books. Superheroes and spandex. It’s okay to embrace that! Look at DC’s TV offerings. They’ve got people in comics-accurate, bright and fun costumes, fighting over-the-top threats, and they’re doing amazingly. You won’t be copying them if you do

The 2007 movie was alright, for what it was. Ridiculous out-of-nowhere fantasy plot and some stilted voice acting aside, it nailed the look of the Turtles and had some great action setpieces. I’d watch it again (and have) before I gave the giant live action turtles another two hours.

I’m hoping that if they do something, they work with the fact that Scott Pilgrim was an absolute asshole before he realized it in the comic’s ending.
While I love the movie and game too, it’s what makes me love the comic the most.

Weeaboo gets to heaven, shrugs, says “eh, the anime version was better.”

I like World War Z the book. I friggen love World War Z the audiobook. Thrilled to see this is also getting a full-cast audio version.

The only reason I knew about this movie is because of the song below.

Do The Protomen count as a nerdcore band?  Because they should be on everyone’s playlist.

Man...or Astroman? were 25 years ahead of this curve.

I get it, man. My brother and housemate are hooked on OZARK on Netflix now, and I’m avoiding it like the plague (pun fully intended). “Peak TV” creators seem to be under the impression that if something’s dark and depressing and hopeless, it’s automatically “artistic” and, therefore, good.

“People of Earth” had this vibe with the aliens. I am still mad the cancelled that, but let that plane crash series go another season.

I loved the movie, but the problem is that the designs started from a point of being justifiable on the world of the movie rather than from MMPR’s silhouettes.

You had me until you said you hated Good Omens.

When I first saw Chronicle, I was legit astonished at how well made it was and how well written it was. And damn were all the actors good.

Judoon! Cybermen! Yessssssss.

Oh cool, Saul Raubinek is in this. I loved him in Warehouse 13. He was also really kind when I met him at a con. Might check it out just for him...and that chain-smoking bottle-blonde nun. I need to know the story behind that character.

Nope. No, sorry, I’m done with this one.

The only nuns in the story are the Little Sisters of St. Claire and they take care of Johnathan when he’s got “brain fever” (i.e., he’s half crazed after escaping the castle) and Sister Agatha tells Mina not to worry, he didn’t love those vampire sluts at all. They are not stake wielding coordinated ninjas, much as I
