I have been lied to for years about the need for eggs, baking powder and such in baking. I have been making perfectly good dishes without all that and it really messed up my mind.

That is how I feel at work, they expect us to all do secret santa with no regard to whether or not we celebrate christmas. I told the lady in charge of it that I would not be participating, and she complained to management that I was not a team player. Bad enough I have to tolerate all the xmas decorations.
