They cleared that up canonically by stating that the “Kessel Run” involved skirting around a black hole (or a group? I can’t remember) and the distance factor was how close he got to the black holes in order to shave off time and distance.
Did Billy borrow Lauren’s laptop and forget to sign her out?
I don’t know if he could have responded any better to this, so kudos for that. Very heartening to see him apologize, own it, and not deflect from it.
I’ve been dying to hit a little out-of-the-way place around the corner from my apartment one night, alone, with my Playstation Vita or my Switch, and just chill at the bar for a while. It’s a gastropub-style place with no TVs and a rotating cask line, to say nothing of great food and a stellar standard lineup. The…
It’s a question that can be easily answered by the bartender, but that doesn’t make it a good question to ask, necessarily.
Stuffed-chicken-with-a-toothpick is my FAVORITE faux-fancy meal idea.
I had to do that during the Verizon strike, because I already had a Verizon plan and my phone wasn’t working. I felt like absolute dogshit walking by them and ended up taking some literature afterwards. I wish I’d asked if there was a way to donate to their strike fund.
Didn’t the Falcons get fined and lose a draft pick for this?
Is no one else talking about the fact that there’s a person named “Terez Paylor”? I spent 10 minutes Googling that name trying to figure out why Deadspin - and Yahoo! - are goofing on a person named Perez Taylor before I realized it’s actually that person’s name.
Congratulations, man! Excellent work on all counts. I had a friend who lost a bunch of weight in/just after high school with DDR, using a pad and playing on console. Nothing nearly as drastic or inspiring as your story, though.
How dare you sully the good name of Big Tall Man Zdeno Chara, Lauren.
Too many people will miss the reference here, but I want you to know I appreciate it.
Most of these would require amendments to the Constitution, yes. That doesn’t make them any less good ideas (I’m not as anti-Senate as HamNo, but otherwise), but they would require an amount of participation and political effort that seems positively herculean in current society.
The only redeemable parts of Connecticut are the parts with the fewest people.
This is a criminally underrated comment. Are there no Defenders of the Faith to support this? Will good taste in metal be left to Rust in Peace?...
I hope you are acquainted with the renowned Twitter account @CaptAndrewLuck
Eviscerate social programs at the local and state level, repeatedly gift tax moratoriums and sweetheart deals to larger business interests, decimate the power and membership of unions and labor groups throughout the country, exponentially expand the inclusion of dark money and corporate influence in politics, roll…
I’m always flabbergasted when I hear stories like this. I was never in a frat, but I played sports my entire life and I had friends who played college sports, and nothing even remotely rose to this level. My father was a member in a frat in college in the early-mid ‘80s, and even the stories he tells me are tame by…
No one fell for 38 Studios. Then-Governor Don Carcieri is one of those peaked-in-high-school former “athletes” and was desperate to be associated with Schilling in the Sox’ success. The $75 million was supposed to be divided among multiple small-business recipients, and instead he used his cronies on the EDC to jam it…
