But Jenye wasn't a major character so it's fine if she gets raped by dogs and mutilated! It's ok that she's just an object to be abused in the books because we only care about POV characters!!!

I really don't get the logic of people being mad at D&D for having Sansa be raped but were totally cool with GRRM doing it to Jenye Poole. Plus what happens to Jeyne in the books is much, much worse. Her character was basically an object to be raped and abused and eventually lead to Theon's redemption.
Half-Life 2: Episode 3.
I dont think it has to do with grudges as much as she need's king's blood to make any of her magic work. That's why she was able to make a shadowbaby with Stannis and use Gendry (a royal bastard) for the leech spells, and why she now seems to be eyeing up Jon and Shireen.
My interpretation of Melisandre trying to seduce Jon was that she can sense that he's a secret Targ and has king's blood, just like she did with Gendry. That scene, combined with all the other hints pointed out in the review, pretty much confirms R+L=J.
That's my biggest fear as well. Theon's redemption arc is my favorite part of ADWD, it's going to be a difficult balance to have Theon save her without also making Sansa a victim again. However, if they can pull that balance off I think it could be even more impactful than the book.
What do you think they were foreshadowing? I've read the books but can't think of what that scene was hinting at. I figured they just had the Sparrows attack him as a way to set up their motivations and to show the contrast between the old, corrupt leader and the fanatical Sparrows.
Not really. Just for the super obsessive fans on westeros.org and other online communities who obsess over random lines and then hype them up only to be disappointed when the show doesn't include them.
Oh I think they are definitely doing the stone men now, just with Jorah instead. I wonder if he will get infected like Connington in the books?
I think because they switch their faces/identities so often, they need to abandon their old identity so that it's easier to become whatever new face they put on.
Yeah, nobody believed me me when I tried to explain that it was him at our viewing party.
I was surprised too. I think it's because his character is kind of the straight man on Silicon Valley. Hearing him cut loose on the podcasts is definitely a different experience.
Nothing huge. Michonne takes the sword back to her house, starts to hang it back up on the wall and then changes her mind and decides to start wearing it again. Then there was a scene in the parking lot with the red hooded guy walking around as a zombie now and the camera pans to a van with "Wolves not far" spray…
Yeah that has been driving me crazy all season. I don't like to watch the previews for the next episode, so I always shut my tv off as soon as the credits roll, and have missed all of the post-credits scenes with Morgan following the main group. Luckily I actually remembered to keep watching for this episode so I…
I loved that this season included Claudia O'Doherty in an R. Schrift scene and featured the made up TV shows they improvised on CBB.
Wait, what about the part where he straight up punches his wife in the face during the fight?
It seems like an easy pitch because that story would share a lot of characters and actors from GOT. So even if it wasn't the most exciting story for a miniseries it's probably the easiest way to sell HBO and the audience on a non-GOT Westeros story and if it's successful, it could lead to a more interesting miniseries.
I feel like if HBO wanted to do more seasons, the time to have that conversation was last year. The producers already met with GRRM to get details on how the story ends and decided on how to break it down based on the goal of seven seasons. So much is already being cut and streamlined for this season by combining two…
I think they are way beyond the point of stalling since this season will probably start to spoil stuff from WOW.
And here I am with my dumb, non-robotic, flesh arm like some kind of jerk.
