I didn’t see you mention the reader feature. That looks to be the most unique feature (and it does look pretty cool), that might make it worth the price for some users.

I think it's a micro USB 3 port. I have one on my Galaxy S5 that looks the same. Also, you normally don't see HDMI ports on external hard drives.
