What I like about this method is the creative use of tags. This also opened my eyes to the Merge option, so I can take two notes and merge them together, this makes it more likely for me to import e-mails to this.

This thread is gathering dust, so it may not help anyone, but I found a simple tweak to their system to work much better with Evernote's workflow.
