Oh, even better!

I wonder if that’s what failed on my friend’s Soul. He texted me all upset that his engine blew and he was going to need to go car shopping. I gently reminded him that his car has a 100k mile warranty on the engine, was he over that mileage? He got a new engine for free from Kia. I’m very glad he texted me.

Isn’t this engine one of those “not if but when” grenade situations?

Poster complains about second-gen Aurora, slideshow displays first-gen Aurora. Why bother having pictures if they’re going to be wrong?

Oh I like my gen 2 better than the 1 (in most respects.) There are certain things I think g1 did better but most are improved with 2 IMO.

After my 2012 Volt got totaled I bought a 2017. They’re fantastic cars.

More like Sophia Urinesta, amiright

I actually like C4s but every time I see that Fisher-Price interior I just cringe.

That’s cool as hell, it’s been a minute since I’ve seen a Loyale running around.

I was looking at cheap Subarus for this purpose about a year ago (in my case “cheap” being under $8k) and everything I could find was just sketchy enough. I was either worried about the underbody rust they all had, or about the engine which depending on who you talk to, is good for 300k miles or will eat a head gasket

Good, I wish Philadelphia would do the same.

Consumer Reports 2010 Prius reliability “far above average” and 75% customer satisfaction. I think it’s the most sensible decision I’ve seen on this site in a while.

Heated seats and wheel are important to EV owners, it lets us keep the cabin cooler and use less battery on space conditioning.

Given the choice I would pick the Chevy Cruze 100% of the time if there was one around. It’s just a nicely riding, solid feeling, relatively quiet car that had plenty of power with the 1.4 turbo. It’s a shame they’re gone now.

Let’s be real though, that line doesn’t exist.

179k + god knows how much idling.

First-gen Hyundai Tucsons meet a lot of your requirements. I bought one as my beater for very similar reasons as you. Mine’s a 2006 Limited with the 2.7 v6, has about 121k miles, and everything works including a/c. I put new front brakes on it plus inspection when I bought it to the tune of about $400 but that’s it,

We already pay for powerful computers in our pockets that we carry everywhere. Why would we care to duplicate all that in our car, and probably be on the hook for yet another subscription? Not to mention that automakers leave this stuff to rot and updates are basically nonexistent. It’s no wonder people don’t want

I started to say something like this, then I realized that I need people to waste money on new cars every year so I can keep buying them used.

Minimum half the time my CarPlay massively shits the bed when I get into the car and I have to turn off the car, open the door, and try again. If I had to start doing that to change the A/C temperature I’d set it on fire.
