Well, it’s “secede,” not “succeed,” and the big cities (Houston, Austin, etc.) pretty consistently go blue, but sure, throw the baby out with the bathwater.

There are plenty of Progressives in the cities in Texas. We look around, and we don’t understand how this state was taken over by the GOP. Then we remember, gerrymandering. So, before you are willing to toss all of us aside, remember that quite a few Texans are your allies.

From my understanding, it is less about Fawkes himself, and more about the Alan Moore graphic novel, V for Vendetta, that showed activists using Fawkes masks to conceal their identities when staging protests and violence against an authoritarian government in a dystopian version of the UK.

It’s very dependent on the cruise line and the cruise destination. If you’re on a Carnival Ship doing an Eastern Caribbean cruise, yeah, it’s party central with body shots and music till 4 AM. Do the Baltic on Holland America... eh, it’s more like a retirement home with better food.
