There is nothing more off-putting than someone crowing about their success—that they achieved by fucking up and not being especially talented.

Jim DeRogatis was interviewed by the Village Voice a couple of years ago about breaking the R. Kelly story. It is one of the best, heartbreaking and harrowing pieces of journalism I’ve ever read. R. Kelly does has not faced any consequences for his actions; hopefully this will change that!

R Kellys attorney is about to get paid. Living their best life. You defend that client!

Back and front!

I’m quite sure you buy something that someone else thinks you pay too much for and you’d be pissed as hell if you paid and that item never arrived.

As someone who spent a relatively conservative amount on an upscale but reusable non-white-wedding dress and opted for a very small wedding so as to afford a honeymoon abroad: people are allowed to do what they want. We preferred to spend our money on seeing four thousand year old buildings, but other people would

Right. If they were taking orders for iPads and not delivering then no one would question it. But it’s something that is important to women, so it’s stupid and everyone has to chime in to decide what these women’s priorities should be.

How expensive can some of these dresses be? If you’re out a few hundred bucks and some time, that sucks but it’s not a disaster.

The stress over the situation is primarily about finding a replacement in time and getting it altered. Unless a person can get a dress off the rack, getting a wedding dress last minute is difficult due to size availability and alterations which take time. Uhh thousands? Plus it takes up to months to get a wedding dress in. These brides are likely now going to have to buy off the rack which depending on their size, could be near impossible. They may not have much of a choice.

I feel like this is straight out of a House of Cards episode. Are we secretly inside a tv program and just don’t realize it?

“NO FOUL PLAY WHATSOEVER. BELIEVE ME. IT’S THE LEAST FOUL PLAY YOU’VE EVER SEEN. AND I’VE SEEN A LOT OF FOUL PLAY. INCLUDING THE MOST FOUL. THIS IS THE LEAST. LOOK HOW LITTLE FOUL PLAY THIS IS. I LEFT A NOTE. YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT.”

America is now a Robert Ludlum novel.

“Say no more! Say no more!”

Wouldn’t the life insurance policy be void anyway if he killed himself? Why would he cite that as a reason to take his life?

Did they check for Polonium poisoing?

Aren’t most (all?) life insurance policies void for suicides?

“party diehard”

The Attorney General of the U.S. praising the ADF in a speech at one of their meetings is basically giving them a tacit government endorsement. What part of separating Church and State does Jeff not understand? Well, beside pretty much all of it. As the AG, he shouldn’t be making speeches to any religious group like
