This was a great read, Zack! That last paragraph summed it all up pretty nicely- brand loyalty, in gaming and beyond, is just weird. 

Yeah, this or GH dragged their feet so long on the production of some of these pieces that the agreement with Sony expired, as did the sell off period, before they were ready to ship. Once Sony found out they were still taking orders they demanded existing stock be destroyed and outstanding orders cancelled. Sucks for…

I was really excited to see more of this series animated, but for me it was hugely disappointing. The animation looked like a PS2 cut scene with an instagram filter overlayed. Such a bummer.
