Hey Soul Sister would like to have a word.

Truth? The new ownership loved the original incarnation of the site, and the current editors believe in the concept of “standing on the shoulders of giants.” They’ve endured the G/O era, they’ve got good writers who were stymied by the requirements placed upon them by the previous ownership, and I truly believe that

For those wondering, Australia worships The Ghost Who Walks, and the Frew version of the character is the world’s longest-running comic book series.

I would actually like this to be a plot point, if this thing is actually being made.

Unpopular opinion: Much like the Star Wars franchise, itself, Spaceballs isn’t that great, overall, but it’s benefited from nostalgia as its primary audience first watched it when they were teens or younger. It features some gifted comedians and has a few good gags, but most of it plays like a bad SNL parody, and it

Can I just say the intro is waaaaay better now? I get the whole bloodlines angle last season but it was fairly bland. This? They went with a semi Baylax Tapestry kinda look and I’m a real sucker for that.

My gf calls him “Not-Shia Lebeuff"

Eh, Villenueve’s version left out too many important story elements for my taste. Lynch hit all the important beats and made a much more interesting movie, both visually and story wise.

Wuthering Heights, The Letter, The Little Foxes, Mrs. Miniver, The Best Years of Our Lives, The Heiress, Roman Holiday, The Big Country, oh, and a little movie called Ben Hur. What more do you need?

the schtick is feeling more than a little tired in The 355.

Her SNL episode appears to have been made available without a Peacock/NBC login, in case anyone wants to revisit:

What bugged me about this (spoilers)...

Ah yes, the old AV Club days

a certain sentient storm of minerals (played by… well, it’s not entirely clear, even after a climactic desanding).”

I hate watching movies like this with big crowds for this exact reason - I don’t want or get any enjoyment from crowds adding their own soundtrack to movies. Don’t want to hear people applauding, hooting and hollering, or really doing anything whatsoever.

Reviews of Spider-Man stuff leave me feeling like I’m the only person in the world that likes the team up aspect of the MCU version.  Will Spider-Man ever get a solo outing?  YES! He had five of them already!  Spider-Man, setting the 90s prevalence of Wolverine aside, has always been the ultimate buddy superhero,
