Kind of wish they weren't ancestors of Ray-man but this should fill that empty void in my heart where Cube World used to be.

Well, to be fair, cosmetic instances and non-interrupting player progression systems are the least, and someone arguably not at all so, nefarious microtransactions. Generally I withhold my ire for games that lock content behind pay-gates.

Cube World?

Was literally just about to come here and say that. Man, if that game had received constant attention I really do think it could of been one of the top block based, auto-generated games out there. It really squandered its chance at greatness.

Haha, so I've heard. And yeah exactly, Second Life just gives people the tools to do as they want. They've always wanted unicorn sex parties. Or something.

Yeah totally, the MMO in itself lends itself to strange occurrences.

Which... Is completely understandable, lol. I just meant in terms of the general mindset of the people. As in, I'm sure if WoW allowed an orgy of sorts, it would happen. (Although I've walked in on some cybering when I was first playing that was unexpected.)

Weird cross-section seems a bit of a misnomer regarding players. I dabbled in it for a time, interest in the economy, but it's no more strange than any other major MMO player base, I've found.

I suppose poor in this sense is synonymous with the aggressive handling that is common with Smash players. For myself, it just doesn't feel conducive to my game-play, but I'm happy it works sufficiently so for you.

I think it's less of a bias, and more realization that a friend let me play his 3DS for 30 minutes the other day and when he played one match the pad popped off. Also, the control scheme is configurable on the WiiU, yes?

What will you do in regards to wearing down the the 3DS?

Honestly, I think you just compared it really well. You've outlined the core themes of each and expressed how it's different. Succinctly so.

Ugh, I want to! But I really should wait until the 21st.. Sigh.

And then we use the massive new outpour of interest in the video game industry and related fields to generate spectacular revenue, which in turn leads to the revival of the late and great TechTV, right!?

I'm not arguing for the artists intent, which I think failed here regardless.

It's identifying the difference between a power fantasy, and debasing an archetype purely for the gaze of predominately one gender.

You are aware that both those things have been synonymous for a long while? Your ability to only acknowledge what was pushed into a mainstream consciousness probably speaks more to how you view the industry than your odd opinion that this is somehow a passing fad.

Okay, I'm glad you said something. Because I usually don't pay attention to individual commenteriat, but something this repetitive and vitriolic caught my eye. Wasn't sure if it was me or if this was some kind of depressing trend.

I think it's because this time around, the game has been changed in terms of game play rather significantly. Which definitely warrants a review for people thinking about getting back into the series, or those who have innately stayed clear of it.

Definitely, I may not always participate but I enjoy hearing from the commenteriat of Jez/Kotaku/io9 and their sub-sites. The people here definitely make it.
