Are there really people who Zooey Deschanel pisses off with her femininity? I mean, obviously the Internet is full of unrepentant straight-up woman-haters, but I thought her detractors largely had a problem with her more for how affected her image was than anything else.
Of the pictures above, I think the third is the only one that seems to be possibly overtly for laughs. AND she's a fantastic, fully-realized character, in a comic containing a slew of other fantastic, fully-realized characters, most of them women. So I'm saying that Love & Rockets is my favorite comic ever, basically.

I saw these a long while back and as someone who has a body that looks a lot like Hilda's, I've always felt just a little offended, like us larger girls are somehow sloppier and clumsier than our skinnier counterparts.
