It is, but it is not an easy skill to acquire and perform on a consistent basis.

As someone who’s spent only a week’s worth of commuting time in a manual, I can say for certain that you DEFINITELY feel it when I push in the clutch and get that torque break in between shifts.

CAN you? Sure. But with automatics, you get

Honda ZF 9HP48 (SAE 2013-01-1276) used in MY2015 CR-V on some European models and also in the MY2016+ Pilot as the optional transmission.

Interesting how/why you would leave this quote out:

Nice. Two of my classes that I had to take as part of my coursework reduced to 8 minutes. lol...

Umm....you can buy them at the auto junk/salvage yards for cheap - especially if you just want to take one apart.

Clearly you’ve never driven a 2005 Ford GT on I-696 during rush hour. It’s a LOT of fun when you can even go fast enough to get out of first. ;)

The only way a manual is smooth is if you eliminate torque breaks during the gear changes. That’s where AMTs and SMTs come into play, where all of the gear changes are controlled with a transmission controller and NOT via someone’s foot-and-hand.

lol....yeah...only if you don’t bother clutching in for shifts.

lolll....

Ford has it as well.

Not entirely true. Some of the Aisin transmissions found in Hondas are what you might consider to be “conventional” automatics (i.e. torque converter up front, planetary gearsets behind it with clutch packs/bands and a valve body to control clutch lockup/gear selection).

Couple of myths:

“So your comparing driving a manual with churning butter or washing dishes?”

Again...it depends.

Depends.

Well...you can argue it both ways, right?

Unless that thing is bullet proof and armor plated for the arms dealer that’s going to be sitting in the back (like a Presidential limousine, except it isn’t for a President) - this test is so pointless.

If it has the Comcast logo (or a registered trademark of Comcast Corporation) on their truck, even if they’re a subcontractor, they’re representing the company via the registered trademark, so they should ACT like it - which they did.

pssshhh....this is nothing.
