Interestingly/ironically enough - there are a LOT of people that HATE the idea of the electronic parking brake (EPB), but other than my NOT being able to drift my hybrid Fusion (which doesn’t happen very often anyways) - I definitely use the EPB a LOT more than I’ve ever used a manual parking brake before.

If it is absolutely destroying his family budget, he would be better off to sell the truck privately and then buy a used car to get out of the loan and just take/eat the $16k hit/loss.
