Probably for the same reason some people seek out personalities instead of just watching uncommentated gameplay: people like feeling a connection to someone, or having the content feel more personal.

The REAL problem is that the price of games has held steady at $60 despite inflation and the rising cost of game development. $60 is pretty expensive to begin with, so it’s hard to imagine that changing, but this is unsustainable!

The real problems are games are expensive to make, huge financial risks, and gamers lack the will to avoid these things

No it’s kind of hard to market destiny based on the lore. For example with halo it was much easier to market the story and lore because it was humanity against an evil galactic armada and it’s easy to evoke emotion and excitement from that but with destiny it’s much more complicated. Didn’t play the first game, or much at all I take it? As Cayde-6 was very much in character and doing it two years before Deadpool.

As a 40 something IT manager who is less mature than my three adult kids, i fully enjoyed this trailer. After playing beta, I think the trailers are the best part of the game. (and the song rocks. but thats just me)
