This blog is uh aging well

Odd timing for this post. Regardless of what happens the rest of the game, Harden has 22 points in 16 minutes.

wait didn’t you write this

OTOH, most were well-contested by some of the best defenders in the NBA (Green, Iguodala, Klay). The Rockets missed a handful they 100% should’ve made; the rest were far from gimmes.

Whoever wrote this diarrhea needs big dose of mental Maalox.

So you’re a Warriors fan, basically.

Simmer down nerd. You could’ve replaced this whole post with “things are different now and I’m scared.”

It’s okay to be what now? :)

Certainly, if the Warriors actually were bored in a situation like this then that is a problem and not an excuse. (I didn’t see the game, but it sounds more like the Rockets came out breathing fire, like Cleveland in Game 4 of the Finals last year.)

Obviously, Houston will now show up bored and listless for Game 3, but then down 2-1 will become desperate and gritty and bring their ISO passion buckets for Game 4. And vice versa for the Warriors.

slow clap.

But that’s based on statistics and paying attention to some games during the regular season. Now all of that evidence can be thrown out for guttural takes.

They might have had a couple prettier possessions where they swung the ball like the Warriors, but the notion that the Rockets offense was significantly different from Game 1 just isn’t true:

Well the Rockets were one of the best defensive teams in the league this season and are a pretty good offensive team too. They’ve actually been hitting shots like that all season, it’s just that it hasn’t clicked in the playoffs yet till now.

You don’t have very good basketball takes, especially as it relates to Rockets defense, which is actually pretty solid this year.

Awesome take brother. So many people on the GS bandwagon and have been saying since the end of last season that it’s GS/CLE and nothing else matters, so they’re having issues deciphering what’s taking place.

In game 1, Ariza scored 8 points on 38% shooting. Game 2, he scored 19 on 80% shooting, aggregating to 13.5 points on 58% shooting. His season-long averages are: 11.7 points on 41% shooting.

Well, Deadspin seems a bit biased towards GSW, and probably can’t admit that the Rockets won by being the superior team. The other day, they wrote an article talking shit about the Rockets after game one. I can’t wait to read the next article after a GSW win, because it’ll be totally “unbiased”.

Well said. The mythical status of GS has gotten a bit out of hand. They certainly didn’t quit on this game until it was certainly over. Houston proved they can go toe to toe with them. Put down the tired talking-points and enjoy this. We don’t get to see two teams this good go at it often.
