Proving Clean Room Engineering would be simple enough; the Dev Diaries go into quite explicit detail on the thing’s they’ve had to overcome over the years. I’d be more concerned about the *concept* of Clean Room coming before a Federal Court again.

To be fair, Retroarch is just a frontend; doesn’t even come packed with emulator cores out of the box.
In addition to GC/Wii discs being encoded backwards and unreadable by most commercial drives, the speed of constantly reading off the disk is too slow and lags Dolphin. This actually came up in a recent progress report, when they devs justified getting rid of the option for performance reasons. So even if you have a…
Star Citizen will launch 18 Months after Chris Roberts gets removed from the project.
“a massive acquisition is actually one of the only ways to disrupt the marketplace and create more competition.”
Note with the Cheat Engine: Notice how every time he destroys a vehicle the Star Rating briefly drops? He might be editing the Star Counter, rather then the underlying rating.
Much smaller. VShojo (the company behind Silvervale) is much the same, being a far smaller studio.
The problem is this has been an ongoing problem in the Vtuber community for literally years now. And Pikamee in particular was beloved; not a person can say a bad word about her. So you are seeing the pent-up anger from the Vtuber community against anyone who attacks members of the community, because IT KEEPS HAPPENING…
Because it doesn’t conform to their view.
Silvervale was hit hard.
Some notes/corrections:
“Also Microsoft would still only be the 3rd largest in the gaming market with the acquisition so it’s not like this creates an actual fuck you monopoly. just our normal late stage capitalism closed garden monopoly.”
Yep. The industry has contracted heavily over the past decade or two; just look at all the studios EA brought just for their IPs. As you said, past mergers (Like Activision and Blizzard) should have also been blocked. The thing is, CoD is such a major franchise the threat of console exclusivity is basically forcing…
Yeah, this is and has been a grey area for a while now, but the assumption is that it’s perfectly legit.
Because the core of Fox’s audience IS stupid enough to believe this.
For large teams? Sure. But I work for a company that does a similar thing (they only clamp down on the high end), and my team consists of just 12 individuals. And many of them are being held back from promotions because they need to be rated the highest rank three consecutive years in a row to be considered for a…
Once again: this isn’t shocking. It’s the classic “False Detection Problem” in a nutshell. To avoid the possibility of mowing down pedestrians, the AI that processes sensor data has to be pessimistic and assume any indications of an obstruction are genuine. And anyone who works with Radar/Lidar/Sonar/Imaging knows you…
Speaking as someone who’s probably around a 3 K/D, here are my thoughts:
I will say this again, as a SW Engineer who works with Radar/Lidar systems: There is no way we are ever going to get fully autonomous vehicles.
Do remember the US was *very* late making a lot of economic reforms even as FDR was spending a ton of money. It’s worth noting there is a direct correlation between getting off the Gold Standard and recovery from the Depression, and the US was one of the last countries to abandon the Gold Standard.
