Here’s the thing: The point isn’t to have an XFL career, it’s to have an NFL career. By passing on this, Vereen is basically killing any chance of making it back to the NFL. And while the XFL salary is less then he currently makes, I’m sure the NFL salary is significantly more.

His numbers so far are fine for a guy who hasn’t even played 16 games yet.  I still view him as the most solid QB of his class, but my concerns are he isn’t getting the necessary instruction and his development will not proceed as it otherwise would.

If you can’t conclusively call a play one way or the other, the call made by the officials stands.

Pretty much the entire Jets fandom sees that Gase is a petty coach, and want him out no later then the end of this season, if not sooner.  The big worry is that Sam’s development will be stunted under this idiot.

Kiper & Co. did say that the previous crop of guys was better. But at the end of the day, it’s a supply/demand problem. And GMs often overlook flaws and focus on what a QB *can* do, assuming everything else will work out.

Thing is, I never saw him or Winston as NFL caliber QBs.  Both had major flaws in reading how plays diagnose in real-time, and could be inconsistent throwing the football to boot.  This limited both guys upside, as they would alternate between good and bad stretches of football.  They are, simply put, mediocre NFL QBs…

I note the owners are free to poney up the cash to hire full time officials.  You hire temp workers, you get what you pay for.  Sucks for the players obviously, but the league has decided to put profits ahead of decent officiating.

Neutral: Cut funding for software that is not directly related to the cars core functionality. Specifically, significantly cut back on self-driving expenditures, in-car apps (which IMO are beyond stupid), and the like.
