That’s a bit much; see the response France just had over a much smaller (~$0.20) increase caused.

That’s what will eventually need to happen to be honest; Tesla’s doing a lot of that out of their own pocket, and that’s the main reason why I believe Tesla is going to “win” the EV wars.
But we’re not talking about a guy who committed a murder or is an immediate threat to society at large; is there any justification that the guy needed to be arrested NOW, instead of maybe 6 hours later?
Waterproofing is NOT hard.
You know, if only there were some mechanism for employees at the Ohio plants to strike back at GM, possibly by hurting them in an economic manner in order to put pressure on GM not to go through with this action.
“Why not build EVs in that plant, and why not promise to make all EVs intended for the U.S. market right here in the U.S.?”
“That process is a blend of computer animation with hand-drawn touch-ups that’s so complicated and meticulous every second in the film took a week to complete.”
The problem with Democratic leadership is they don’t want to be seen as the ones who “shut down the government”; we’ve seen this over and over again. So they cave on issues for the greater good, on the expectation it will win them elections in the long run.
The problem is there really isn’t a viable way to increase manufacturing in a way that’s profitable. Simply put: Wages, benefits, and costs are too high in the US to support a manufacturing base; that’s why the US has been moving more toward services. The idea that you can have a large base of manufacturing jobs for…
Disagree. It’s not just the cost to keep GM running, you have to consider the effects that loss of employment would have on the greater economy. GM going bankrupt would have cost the economy a ton more then the cost to keep it up and running.
I’ll say it again: While I disagree about GM outright giving up Sedans, they are absolutely correct to slim down.
A lot of areas like that have changed only in very recent memory. Remember it was only a few decades ago that the New York and California Republican Parties were the strongest in the country.
Agreed. GM certainly is trying to focus in too many of the wrong areas. They’re very late to the party, and are desperately trying to catch up.
For non-violent offenders, what’s the point of a chase anyways? It’s not like there isn’t an easy way to tie a car’s license to an owner, and by extension a place of residence.
From a design perspective, it’s perfectly logical that a droids foot sensors would be able to determine temperatures of what the droid’s feet are in contact with; you wouldn’t want a droid to try and walk across hot lava when trying to complete it’s tasks. Having built-in temperature sensors would allow a droid to…
And what about the people who put them in power? Blaming those in power is just an excuse by people to hide their culpability in it.
To be fair, ~$2 Billion is NOT a lot of money for NY to pony up.
1st + 2nd Gear:
Have to fly there from LGA a few times a year. Security’s been better the last few times I’ve been there. I find it OK, but consider the comparison I’ve got.
To be fair, they don’t have much room for expansion, ESPECIALLY LGA. I’m not expecting LGA to be good even after the remodel finishes, but I’m hoping it will be “better”.
