Simple solution to the LIE: Increase the speed limit to 70, and ACTUALLY ENFORCE IT.
Personally? Steetcars make more sense then autonomous cars. I can say this, as being a Software Engineer I recognize the problems inherent in trying to automate transportation in a way that is robust enough to trust.

The issue is you don’t really see explosion anymore, even on pokemon like Gengar where it used to be a staple. It’s just not as useful as it used to be, especially in doubles (where you risk your own pokemon). You basically have to build a team with the INTENT to use explosion, which limits the teams effectiveness…
Yeah, once upon a time, Explosion could easily be present on multiple pokemon on a team (Gengar/Golem being prime candidates, with the occasional Snorlax) with the intent to two for one. Nowadays, not so much, especially as more and more pokemon resist it.

Technically, both the Military and NASA get a lot of it’s tech ideas via DARPA or from publicly funded universities. I’m all for increasing NASA’s budget, but R&D is already covered via other means of federal spending.
POGO was never really solved on the Saturn V, though dampeners were eventually added (I think as of Apollo 15) that largely mitigated the problem.
