Nevermind. You are right that it wasn't essential during last generation since the games simply didn't need so much RAM. Now, with the new generation of consoles this 4GB limit of a 32bit Windows is simply too low for modern games with their texture sizes. Everybody probably was just wondering, why you assumed it

It was already solved for Mac OS X back in 2003 with the 64-bit G5 PPC processor, simply moving from 32-bit to 64-bit solves the problem.

It is now cheaper to produce 64-bit processors than it is to produce 32-bit processors, an older more-expensive processor can actually perform worse than a cheaper, more recent model, so right now there is zero reason to go 32-bit, it would be more expensive than buying a better 64-bit processor.

I don't doubt this, we hardly have 16 or 8 bit processors anymore, why would 32-bit stick around?

There's no standards to say what word length your CPU should be, so 64-bit isn't really a standard, but yes CPUs are trending into 64-bit right now and 99% of x86 processors being manufactured and shipped right now are 64-bit compliant and this has been the case for a long time.

NOW we're speaking on the same level. He's STILL going to be Frieza; more power, same fucker.

32bit only supports 4GB of memory for each application and because of the way Windows is built (terribly) that one application is Windows, resulting in less than 4GB being available on 32bit Windows, the requirements ask for 4GB of memory so already that's reason #1.

Im guessing because they need to address lots of ram and nobody runs 32bit OS anymore? And this way it's guarenteed running on a 64bit cpu..

Mine goes in the neighbours yard.

Fuck that guy.

Well, they pretty much said that in the video, but think of it this way: Halo is pretty much the reason why it seems all console games now need a massive multiplayer mode (even when they don't). To think this was an afterthought so many years ago and now the multiplayer gets developed in tandem with the game.

Everyone is focused on the Zombies. Nobody will expect the Cow Army!

Mega64 isn't for everyone, but Todd & Aaron are the best part about the end of the year.

Ooh, I'd never heard of this! Getting it now.

"U wanna fuggin' go m8, let's go"

The comic is also pretty good too.

Sure thing, man.

Sorry.

This has more plot than the original Destiny storyline.

I hated Reach when it came out, but now it's all I want to play. The UNSC Army was a great new faction. They had the coolest armor and weaponry of any game yet, and the characters were great.

343 is focused on balanced map design and actually listening to what hardcore want. I seriously shudder to think people think 2914 Bungue would be better than 343. Destiny is a sad husk in most every aspect of the game halo was awful weak story, unbalanced pvp. 343s versions are simply remixes waiting to hit the mark.
