My main Japanese source is a woman. I spoke with about 8 Japanese critics total. A few identified as feminists, but that didn’t bleed into their views on fan service.

I was having a great day and then you just had to remind me of Grave of the Fireflies

I’m sure a dozen other people already said it here but I think:

Not ambiguous, but final. Like, that was their tale; let’s move on. Given the character-driven nature of the story, I’m not particularly interested in the Fireflies plotting their revenge against Joel. Joel grew, Ellie grew, and I’m satisfied.

The best part of this discovery, however, is that players were able to port the models contained within P.T.—meaning, players can now use the in-game Norman Reedus and Lisa however they see fit.

A game rated 8/10 by most review outlets is officially one of the worst fucking games this generation

Yep, only 2 sequels. But you have to remember gamermath™ exaggerates everything. 2 = 6, a 2015 game came out “years ago,” and so on.

Agree if I told you the best multiplayer game I played last year was cars hitting an oversized soccer ball into a goal, you’d think it was stupid. I liked FEAR and it’s weird little paranormal vignettes were window dressing to the game’s great (for its time) visuals and solid shooting.

This always comes to mind in those occasions:

This is literally the least important thing governments need to get involved with.

So we have the Double Down Dog and the Chizza from KFC, and now the Cheetos Quesadilla from Taco Bell. Is the Philippines coming down with some new “weird fast food” craze?

Great write up, Kirk. This update is very encouraging, and I absolutely love how it completely silenced the narrative that has been floating around the interwebs about how Hello Games just took the money and ran. Nope, they’ve clearly been working their asses off.

I’m not sure why you think that “bringing players back” is important when it isn’t subscription based, has no microtransactions, and no paid dlc. Obviously the goal at this point is to sell the game to new customers who are waiting for it to become a worthwhile purchase.

I’m sure most people would be able to hear and dodge a tank that is travelling at 3 MPH. Also, the brick wall wouldn’t explode, it would slowly crumble.

That guy would be safe if the tank was travelling at historically accurate speeds.

He was amazing in the Rurouni Kenshin Trilogy.

Everyone was amazing in the Rurouni Kenshin Trilogy.
It was the first time I truly felt like I was watching a big, epic adaption of a manga/anime, without thinking “Hey, this is an adaption of a manga, and these actors playing said characters.”

I was totally engrossed.

I can almost guarantee this is known and intentional. Good reviews mean good sales. People who pre-order are more likely to give a game a good review before release. Therefore allowing people to review games they have pre-ordered is likely to drive further sales.

Awww, that’s adorable! Congratulations to the new... power couple!
