Amen. She’s a national treasure, and deserves to be well paid. There’s a great chemistry behind the entire family cast and I hope they work out something equitable.

I found the article useful. Babe’s article just felt weird and off, it’s nice to see some of the background of why.
Really? Not sure if you know this, but this country was literally settled by a large number of puritans. It’s the most recognizable cultural landmark of Americans - we’re crazy weirdly hung up about sex.
I don’t always stack plates, but when I do it’s almost invariably because the table is too small for me to eat comfortably at. Classic Example: Any breakfast at a Crackers Barrel. If you and your partner get any of their meals, it will end up being three plates each, plus a basket of biscuits, plus drinks and…
I don’t think you can make the justification that Amazon is somehow more “green” than in person shopping. having a hundred or more vehicles in every city running around a city delivering minor items that used to be purchased by a family in bulk for a few weeks or a month is at most just as bad if not worse for carbon…
My experience has been the same. More confederate flag flying racists out here than I found in Texas, even. Though to be fair, my brother lives in TN and those flags fly everywhere out there.
I live in Lancaster, PA - Amish Country HQ. Can confirm, plenty of racists in the area. Honestly kind of shocked me when I moved here from Texas - I expected a bit less, being so close to Philly. Nope.
I used to drive through KFC about 10 years ago specifically for a 2 strip dinner with one of those bad boys before D&D night. I’m a heavy drinker and that diet coke would last me like all night. I miss that atrociously heavy, top always loose and spilling monstrosity of indulgence.
The show just wrapped up a few weeks ago, and wow, yeah it was a great podcast.
Never said he was a bastion of healthy eating! You can have vegan junk food just as well as any other diet. I just made the point if it’s not a place that specializes in vegetarian needs, he won’t eat if it’s not something he can watch being made to avoid cross contamination.
Ok, I understand you point. Thanks for the clarification.
India’s more vegetarian than vegan. Lots of cheese and dairy can be found in parts of their cuisine.
To be fair, not all vegans are awful with cats. My roomate is vegan and has two cats, they eat the same meaty wet and dry foods my cats eat. He freely understands cats are carnivores and need meat in their diet, just as many animals do.
There are huge vegetarian populations worldwide, but yes, as far as I know the conscientious veganism movement is limited to the West. You’ll find it America, Australia, and Europe but not so much anywhere else.
You clearly haven’t lived with a vegan. I do. And in the 25 years since he’s voluntarily had an animal product, he’s lost the enzyme to process animal proteins.
OMG. I made the mistake of reading his twitter feed. Plenty of evidence right there he’s not the normal ANYTHING.
Yay your raw water comes with free side of cultural appropriation!
wouldn’t raw water by definition have to be unfiltered water? You know, the stuff that requires boiling everywhere to avoid disease?
First, so happy to be out of the sous vide year. Interesting ideas, but not anything I’d ever try myself.
