Cream gravy is simply a milk gravy thickened with roux and usually salt and pepper. It’s a remnant from the cowboy days of Texas, as is most of Texas Cuisine, when all food had to be made using portable kitchens called chuckwagons while on the trail. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chuckwagon

I actually responded to your question about schnitzel/chicken fried steak above, so see that - it’s actually a lot less healthy than schnitzel.

Schnitzel is usually pork or veal with a thinner breading; chicken friend steak is beef with a thicker breading. Chicken fried steak also is solely served from what I’ve seen with a white cream gravy, while Schnitzel can have most anything. But yes, it’s very much an American take on schnitzel.

Just FYI, people keep going on about kolaches but that’s really a Polish thing and not state-wide. I spent years around the DFW metroplex, Abilene, San Antonio, and San Angelo (West texas) and never heard of them until years later when I moved to Pennsylvania. You do find them apparently in deep south texas, where

Chicken fried steak, chili, the mexican-american food variety known as tex-mex are all the big local food draws. There’s a variety of texan barbecue as well, and drinks of choice are Dr Pepper, sweet tea, and I’m not a drinker so I can’t think of hte local beer they used to go nuts over. Blue bell ice cream.

Well, currently identified cheaters can’t get new rare or uncommon pokemon. That would actually work pretty well WITH the Team Rocket theme.

Please let that mark of shame be a Team Rocket Logo.

I am being earnest, and I’m listening.

Racism is certainly a problem. Black Pride is a thing. I 100% agree there have been problems and will be likely for a long time. I’d like to think the solution isn’t voluntary segregation though and then eternal bitterness between “Now white pride” and “POC pride”. I’ll volunteer and celebrate at any event put on by

True that. GLBTQ+’s secret agenda is mandatory naptime after all!

Bisexuals manage it all the freaking time.

I’m a gay white male, and I know there’s a problem. I’d love to hear some solutions to the problem. Personally, I’d love more some participation from non cis gay white males in the working and volunteering in these groups. I’m not a major organizer myself, I just volunteer occasionally - but you’re right, it’s usually

In my opinion, since those Wakandans are dead and the Wakandans we have now literally sprang forth from T’Challa’s mind as his ideal Wakanda, I do have a bit of a problem with it. But aside from that, my main problem is that we’ve had years of Black Panther becoming this great futurist and now he’s just not in his own

The thing is...Wakanda had been wiped out. Before Secret Wars, most of the nation had been killed in the Atlantis attack, and the rest was killed during the Hickman’s T’Challa-lead book New Avengers. When Secret Wars is ending, Black Panther uses the Reality Gem to create a new Wakanda and repopulate it with a reborn

I should also say, it’s too early to say how well this book will turn out, but Lion’s Forge new Catalyst Prime comic line, headed by a title called Noble, is an interesting take on a POC superhero in a new universe. He’s an amnesiac astronaut who survived a cataclysm and a year later is discovered in South America

I get it. I totally do. I was really psyched up before the series came out because of the world-building I was hearing about by Mr. Coates...I just didn’t feel it being implemented as well as you have. In Black Panther, you have him dealing with uprisings in the newly discovered poor areas of the wealthiest nation on

Yeah, when you move your price point to 4 bucks for a 22 page comic and then flood the market with 40 bi-weekly series and another 30 monthly books that all merge into 3 seasonal crossovers each yeah with miniseries where you need to collect them all...who do they think has this kind of money?

I..yeah, I wish they’d focused on building once excellent Black Panther comic book and built it’s story up rather than trying to build up a franchise. I read Black Panther up to issue 7 or 8, but I found it was quickly moved from being about establishing Wakanda and why the Black Panther is T’Challa now to being the

I see two big incentives for maintaining a foot in backwards compatibility.

I sort of wish he’d given me a speeding ticket at some point in the past. Can you even imagine that discussion?
