This election season has been so heartbreaking for so many reasons. While I’m perfectly confident that Clinton will crush Trump, it’s been genuinely heartbreaking to discover that ~43 percent of the voting public finds someone like Trump to be palatable and that they’re willing to excuse and even celebrate his blatant

This fucking election. I can’t. This is a presidential election!!!

Yeah, they know, that’s why they’re doing it.

It’s a good reminder: if you vote for Trump, you’re voting for racism. And misogyny. And homophobia.

trump’s harmful rhetoric, dumb ass bathroom bills, and already vulnerable communities are in even more danger.

How does wearing a fucking burkini mean that she isn’t assimilating? The Duggars wear those weird ass bathing suits that are incredibly similar and no one is accusing them of this. But yes, traumatizing the children who have to see their mothers be forcibly stripped isn't helpful at all. It just gives ISIS more ammo

This is never about assimilation. These are fascist-driven tactics that are used to drive people out. Think of pogroms in the Middle Ages and onwards.

OMG seriously. It’s so rich that a man would have “hygienic” concerns about a woman’s attire. Like, first of all, you know nothing about female anatomy and what does/doesn’t create hygiene issues; second of all, 90% of men are 100% gross.

Oh, so public humiliation isn’t the best way to help immigrants assimilate? Huh, who knew.

I would truly love to see any research backing up the idea that swimming in something like a burkini would be unhygienic. Would be news to so many surfers and divers who wear wetsuits regularly!

Hygiene, really?! The ways in which my body is policed by men (and other complicit women) using “hygiene” as an excuse are myriad, and yet a very large chunk of those men seem unable to flush, wash dishes, or keep their crevices fresh.

As much as I hate the vapidity of social media, if twitter didn’t exist, these kinds of injustices would go unnoticed. Making the powers that be feel shame is a very strong deterrent.

Oh, puhlease, American conservatives are all about discrimination. Gays were banned from the military, straights weren’t. As if you guys care about people being treated differently.

“Some things in the world are wrong.” Wearing a Hijab isn’t one of them. That’s literally ALL I’m defending, here.

I didn’t say the culture is perfect. We have gay bashing, terrible Christians here as well, yet we don’t reject the entirety of Christianity.

We can criticize certain parts of Islamic Culture and not shit on the whole thing. She is allowed to wear whatever the hell she wants, and who are any of us to judge her for it?

Liberals will go nuts when Muslim’s are discriminated against here (they should stand up to it) but say nothing of the millions of free thinkers, gays and women who live in total misery in the Muslim world.

Well fair, that’s a good point I cannot dispute that.

She didn’t really like fencing but it was a sport where she could fit in without looking too abnormal. Or she could just fit in and do ANYTHING she wanted by not living in the Stone Age.

Except me and all my friends are and have always been hardcore gamers and we all went Xbox One when it came out. We could see past marketing issues and didn’t care what people said online. We’ve always been Xbox gamers. When I say we I just mean my gaming group but there’s around 20 of us and we’ve been friends for
