Bravo, sir.
On the one hand, I get it. Nintendo wants to protect their brand and their image as a high-quality gaming company; glitches and exploits and stuff undermine that effort. But on the other hand, sheesh, come on...the guy’s trying to make interesting, fun levels, not hack the Wii U to run exploit code...
Now this is a legitimate complaint. I kinda feel the same way. It takes a good bit for me to get myself invested in a game again unless it’s after a long absence, like you mentioned. It’s a tricky thing for them to balance, I guess...
Good point. Since you’re legally required to purchase this DLC, you certainly have a right to complain about it. If it were optional, and if those features didn’t mean much to you, well then...
Asshole much? For your information, I speak, read, and write Japanese a decent amount. Not as well as English, so I obviously prefer subtitles in English...but I enjoy the Japanese voice overs since they tend to be much more dramatic. Not to mention that the lips weren’t resynced for English, so the dub just had…
Excellent story! Smells of fresh, story-telling journalism, which is nice amid the briefer, facts-only game updates.
I kinda like the full bleed tiling. Simple but graphic.
It’s a testament to how strong Nintendo’s brand is that I WANT ALL OF THESE. I don’t even like Animal Crossing all that much as a game, but the characters and branding are so f’ing adorable that I will shove some little old lady trying to grab the last one off the shelf at the store!
Maybe. The PS TV was like $50 when I bought it, and I play back and forth on that and my Vita for some titles. I still could see the viability of having a set top only Switch model, if for no other reason than not having to house an awkwardly-docked device in your entertainment center.
Why are people so bitchy about DLC? You got a 100% complete, fully-polished game. Maybe they had these features already planned and held them back on purpose for DLC. Maybe not. It’s impossible to know. (Aside from a handful of the amiibo-exclusive items, which don’t count, because those were always meant to be tied…
Goddammit. After I already spent 150 hours playing through the entire game...I wish this was a launch option. The English voices...leave much to be desired.
I can relate to this guy...
I’ll take Blizzard’s approach over Bethesda’s any day. Just sucks that I don’t really like many of Blizzard’s games... :(
Turn on the light, brotha! You’ll hurt your eyes!
Awesome. Thanks for the insight, peeps.
I wish I liked DQ; the Liquid Metal Slimes are pretty damn cute. I’m liking the new 2DS XL line, but Jesus, Nintendo...stop with the IDIOTIC device naming.
Serious query here:
Interesting. I may get back into MvC with this release. Three characters was getting a little ridiculous, and the art style doesn’t look like ass (*cough* SFIV, MvC3...).
