As a game developer it sometimes irks me to know streamers make more money than most devs, but then I can understand the amount of work that goes into maintaining a streamer personality, to be “up” all the time and sustain an energy level that could be grueling over the long haul. I’d be curious to know, from a

I was one of the texture artists on JK (was on Dark Forces too) and I have to say I'm happy to see it and DF continuing to have a life. Nice to see my DPaint textures getting a resolution upgrade.

Wow, they make my textures look so pretty.

When I was working at LucasArts after the restructuring that saw Jim Ward come on as CEO, we were tasked to come up with one-page pitches for games. One was a grey jedi, but in this context it was a jedi who’d do the Jedi council’s dirty work, someone who could take the moral hit so they wouldn’t have to.

We made Force

Oh FFS people, lighten up.

Was going to recommend the same novel. Guns of the South is pretty much exactly what you’re asking for.

Aw, c’mon, give it to Pygram, he’d be a perfect Tarkin. Back when the live-action Star Wars tv show was still a possibility I dreamed of a second career for Pygram as that series’ main villain: a younger Tarkin, after being such a great one as Scorpius.

You seem waaaaaaaaaay too invested in this. I think you might need to take a step back, take a deep breath, look at your life, and reassess your priorities.

Nice article Jason. Never has a game intentionally kicked my ass and made it as fun as this fight was. Naturally, I shouldn’t have read the comments as it’s the typical screed of ignorance that typifies any counter argument to diversity or inclusion in a space that’s largely been dominated by white men - and as a

Thanks, Luke, for this article. I’ve been a game developer since 1993 and have always had a strong negative reaction towards piracy - always felt as though it was stealing from the pockets of me and my colleagues.

Why don't you try living up to your namesake and show a little compassion.

Reading "Mistborn" by Brandon Sanderson. First book of his I've read, but after Mistborn, it won't be the last. I've already picked up the two other books in the series and the new Stormlight Archive book.

Almost done with WOOL. First Howey book I've read, but after this it won't be the last.

Ha, cool. "Neutropolis" was the name I gave for one of the mid-level zones for the Praetoria setting in City of Heroes.

David Gerrold's War Against the Chtorr series. Major cliffhanger on the fourth, and most recent book, and that was released in 1993.

Ooooo, what's it do?

"And also sometimes it makes their vagina looser, and I don’t care how many kegel exercises a woman does, after she has 2 or 3 eight to ten pound babies, you can’t tell me it’s going to be 100% as tight as it ever was!"

It might be hard to come by these days, but the OVA Giant Robo: The Day the Earth Stood Still. Seven episodes long, it has one of the best story arcs I've seen and has one of the best twist endings. It combines retro character design with tight animation and some of my favorite overall character concepts.

I may have not hear of them before, but I have now. I know it won't replace the many who will remain unaware of their title after having not seen it at PAX, but it's something.

I'm in agreement with you there. I want ASM 2 to be good, so there'll be a 3 and a 4, so we won't have to muddle through one more reboot, one more interpretation of his origin story.
