While some people may not like to hear the truth. It is the parent who let this get out of hand. If you don’t spend quality time with your child and notice these types of things happening under your own nose. Someone playing for 13 hours a day. You should notice and address. Turn off Wi-Fi, take their computer away,

Sadly only in the US :-(

This looks interesting and makes me wonder if this is where all the Beyond Good and Evil 2 Tech has gone. There are some similarities for sure.

The only reason I keep my boxes is that if I ever sell it or give it to someone down the line then it makes it easier to get rid of. I am not short on space so it doesn’t worry me. I only normally keep boxes for things under warranty. After that, I recycle them. Game devices are just a different beast.

I worked on this game as a Game Designer. It was going to be epic and was doing things that weren’t done in open world games at the time. It had an excellent Meta Game as well as a finely crafted story by an industry veteran.

This is also one of the best teams I had the opportunity to work with during my career. It was

Saddness +1

and onto Orion

I could do that in NHL 94 and it wasn't even and empty net :-)

I actually worked there are the time and the story I heard is that with PS games you need to have a certain amount of dummy data on the disc. Someone just chose poorly and then forgot to take it off.

If it has been published they they have no legs to stand on. Everyone copies what works and improves on what doesn't (Hopefully). Its the nature of the industry.

I am glad that they were both brought to justice. I can't imagine how hard it was and is for his surviving family. I donated money to the family back when this happened and she was nice enough to send a personalized thank you. It tales a classy person to do that as I wan't expecting anything in return.

The difference with video game stories and movies is interactivity. Like the article said, you are controling the story to some degree and you feel you are in the story. You don't need much to push you along and make it feel like a great story. It is your own story so it's more fun.

Lets not forget that they closed down all those studios so yes people did get fired just like all other companies out there.

I worked on the 1st one and although it says racing there really is no racing in it. It was essentially driving based missions.

Hmm I typed something but don't see it. I have been off since August. Pretty barren in terms of positions in my area.

I have been out of work since August of last year. Activisions corporate merger sent half of Radical out the door. Lucky for us that the economy went to hell just after that making it really easy to find a job (I was being sarcastic in case you didn't notice).
