I’m 100% with you. I take breaks from Uncharted 4 to play Battleborn, because it’s fun! There’s a lot of meat to the multiplayer, with the many MOBA elements, and that adds a depth to the play that my old-man reflexes (I’m 38) can handle better than the twitchiness of Overwatch.

I wish playing the actual game had more to do with these animated shorts. As it stands, they’re essentially two separate experiences, with gameplay entirely ignoring any story elements created in the films.

Articles like this remind me why I don’t visit the forums (fora?) on a game like this. I play as long as I’m having fun (over 5 days of game time so far), and when I’m not, I move over to Dark Souls 3, or the Battleborn beta, or pull out Witcher again, or—

“It’s been agreed” is one of those tricky phrases. You may very well be right, but places like Reddit tend to agree on a lot of things that don’t match my experience with a game.

What were your levels? What was her level? What were your builds? Were you stunning? Did you have ultimate abilities up? Did she have turrets in support?

I wouldn’t call it “baby mode,” but I never enjoy when a game takes the beautiful world they’ve made, and then washes it out visually. Dishonored and Arkham Asylum both fell into that camp for me.
