The predecessor to the Belkin made a high pitch noise every time it was plugged in. Does this model produce the same type of noise? To me the noise was enough to return the predecessor.

Warning: I own this exact model belkin and after a few months of use it developed a really faint but incredibly annoying high pitched noise. You cannot have this in your hotel room or bedroom at night as it will drive you bonkers!
