Their bikes are covered in piss, though

This was approximately my logic, but I’m ready to be proven wrong.

My fiance asked if I wanted to see the Assassins Creed movie (being a fan of the games), and I said no since it’s probably going to be terrible. She saw that it has a quality cast including, most critically, Michael Fassbender; so I think we’re going to be seeing it now. What are the odds that I’ll be surprised?

Just want to say I like these deep dives into the “how” of how football plays out.

That is a pro lifehack

tbf, making money on the stock market is more about jumping on and off of short-term trends, and if you have the time and inclination to pull it off you can make a bunch. For the rest of us, there are mutual funds.

You don’t know how accurate you are. There’s been lots of consternation about video review of catches re: whether the ball hit the ground before the hand(s) properly had control. Turns out high zoom cameras fudge the perspective.

The actor apparently had a fairly successful stint with the Durham Bulls before switching to acting.

You can make color design arguments for blue or gray, but (cool) gray probably wins out since it’s such a desaturated blue. Kinda like how SSW is just south of SW, and WSW is just west of SW, this is GBG rather than BBG.

What animal would the Deadspin mascot be, and what honorary job title would it be given?

I’d like to see the Venn diagram of “people who cherish the unblemished merits of free market capitalism” and “people who deride pro sports for making sound business decisions”

That there are so many generational talents is probably why. MJ was so far ahead of his peers in skill and media awareness; and while Lebron, Steph, et al are all remarkable players, none of them are dominantly remarkable over the others.

My parents had a nordictrac treadmill that was user-powered, and generated enough electricity to power the display, but there wasn’t any way to control speed like a powered treadmill, and I don’t think it worked very well much beyond jogging. Exercise bikes can generate electricity, but the best resistance mechanisms

Older players just don’t appreciate the value of victory runes like the modern cricketer does

I wasn’t saying it was
