Wow. I guess I never sat and thought about how slim the pickings are in terms of basketball movies. Saw Teen Wolf as the first choice and thought about how terrible the basketball scenes were. I think the bigger reason video game adaptations don’t work is that with a video game, ultimately, it’s the gameplay that drives it, whereas a film or tv series obviously has to rely on the underlying plot. You can still have a great game even if the plot is underdeveloped as long as the gameplay is still engaging or…
