I thought I remember The High Evolutionary saying that the Sovereign were purely aesthetic and that they weren’t one of his important experiments. I got the impression that is why he allowed them to live.

Darts, meet dartboard.
The season was had a lot of cool moments and fun sequences, but from a plot, narrative, character development, and world-building standpoint, it was a total disaster. There were so many loose ends, subplots that got no payoff, and characters who were so underdeveloped that it actively took away from the viewing…
Oh my. Imagine actually posting this in a public forum. Embarassing.
I, for one, am very excited about the inevitable Earthworm Jim epic saga.
This has to be in the running for dumbest idea in the history of the entertainment industry right? Maybe I’m just so stunned that my recall isn’t functioning, but it’s so dumb. Actually choosing to drop the name HBO- which is synonymous with quality, prestige and appointment viewing and has redefined the way we watch…
My god these lists are so bad, why even bother? Scarlett Johansson most definitely didn’t get her start in Eight Legged Freaks.
Will be interesting to see who Marvel selects to play Kang. Let’s hope they don’t screw it up.
Wow. I guess I never sat and thought about how slim the pickings are in terms of basketball movies. Saw Teen Wolf as the first choice and thought about how terrible the basketball scenes were. Then looked at the subsequent movies and realized it’s really not that far off. I also can’t think of any glaring omissions…
That’s because there was little to no thought put in. Abrams just wanted to change some wording in the script from A New Hope, so developing the reason for The First Order’s existence wasn’t covered since it was never explained where The Empire came from and how they rose to power.
Heavens no. She’s scheming. She lost her crew, and now got accepted into a new one. She’s going to play nice, win their favor, get them all to return to Mandalore, tame the Mythosaur, and claim leadership. Then she’ll find a way to get her hands on the Dark Saber.
I think the bigger reason video game adaptations don’t work is that with a video game, ultimately, it’s the gameplay that drives it, whereas a film or tv series obviously has to rely on the underlying plot. You can still have a great game even if the plot is underdeveloped as long as the gameplay is still engaging or…
Exactly. And I don’t see this as a plot contrivance. It’s well written that they’d actually be this desperate and quick to pull the trigger without really thinking it through. It makes them more interesting, compelling villains, and makes Joel’s reaction justified. Where Joel loses me, is that the lack of consent…
Not even a little. It was definitely very fast paced and left me wanting more, but that was my own selfish craving and not due to a lack of storytelling or hasty writing. I think they accomplished everything they set out to accomplish.
I’m half surprised Joel didn’t take out those two nurses in the operating bay while he was at it.
Holy shit. Joel snapped. Dude went way off the reservation. He had good reason to not accept what Marlene did, but he just massacred a whole fucking building full of people, many of whom were totally innocent, and then concocted an insane, bullshit story that Ellie obviously doesn’t believe. And though his point is…
It’s amazing to me that they continue to mess up what should be an extremely simple exercise. You can find a list of people in the industry who passed away in the past year very easily. Just go on Wikipedia for crying out loud. Especially a person who is the star of a nominated film. How do you leave out Paul…
Jennifer Lopez is not a great actor, so not sure why she’s listed here. Demi Moore really ain’t anything special either.
Imagine thinking M. Night Shyamalan belongs with these names when literally half his movies are hot garbage.
They should be really embarrassed that the last 5 MCU movies look distinctively worse than the Phase 1 films.
