God bless Kotaku for having a variety of commentators from normal people here for video games to Putin Shills. What range.
No, that’s gaslighting and bait. There’s also thick hypocrisy within your own statement; if you actually believe it in its entirety.
That isn’t patriotism, it’s jingoism. Patriotism is loving your country enough to pay attention to it.
The presidents job is to work for the people, not the other way around. This guy is a fucking boot licker
I will support my country in any situation without thinking for a second!
... you ever get the feeling that “below expectations” involves the same kind of magical math that makes the most successful films of all time never be profitable, except for the fact that all the suits get all the money from them?
They turned it into the world of tanks logo lol. If they fuck this up how are they going to get hte rest right.
It sucks because a lot of the community is frustrated at developers and stuff and like...this is 100% on leadership from top to bottom. EA leadership, DICE leadership, and all management in between.
Basically, I blame the people who pushed this out the door to hit a release schedule a lot more than I blame the people who worked through a pandemic to actually make it.
As a game developer I can tell you more - if it worked so far, it means it has been tested to much higher extent than any new content, therefore it's much more reliable. Less bugs here = more time to test new content
It’s astounding how little most gamers understand game development.
Good!! This expectation from gamers just seems insane to me. I’m a lawyer, so this would be equivalent to me drafting every single contract, document, etc. from scratch each time without ever re-using clauses or language from prior work. It is stupid and not time/cost effective.
What, is this the Pokémon community all of a sudden? “Every new Pokemon game must include every Pokémon that has ever existed including all the new ones. They must all be given brand new models—we WILL count the polys in the mesh—and zero attacks and animations are allowed to be re-used, they must all be brand new.…
Bonus: The characters retain the same feel. Animation priority is already a tricky bird to pluck. Why mess with something that everybody’s already accustomed to?
Heck I’m fairly certain there are animations in Halo Infinite which are from the original Halo ce.
Majora’s Mask is considered by many to be the best Zelda game ever made, and it reused damned near every asset from Ocarina of Time.
Did you guys know Terminator 2 used the same actors for the T-800 and Sarah Connor as Terminator 1?
I hope the people complaining about that don’t take a look at Ubisoft games. The Far Cry and Assassin’s Creed games are designed to reuse as much as possible from the previous game and their whole schedule is based on it (meaning the next Assassin’s Creed game will be very similar to Valhalla). They do that with other…
lol wtf? It’s a sequel of course they are going to reuse all animation and probably even meshes, characteres etc of the previous game!
I worked on Shadow of the Tomb Raider and let me tell you we re-used almost every single animations of the 2 previous games, on top of creating the new ones needed. That is just how…
