Its actually better than most. He does say:

No, he pulled out his phone for the drive, but then afterwards said the logger “didn’t get it” and never gave a number.

This is definitely why. Even if reliability doesn’t change, fuel economy often does. It also leaves room to release an Accord Type R after they convince everyone to buy the Accord Sport. No additional tooling needed on the assembly line, just a new badge and a new tune.

Yeah, but from everything I’ve read dealers can tell when you last flashed the ECU, so they’ll know somethings up if it was last flashed 10 miles ago.

It’s really hard to judge this against any known benchmarks — like Tesla, Rimac, etc — because it’s running on slicks of unknown compound. Because 0-60 times are largely traction bound past a certain power level, this number might as well be the price of key lime pie at the diner down the street. It’s completely

I don’t really consider this all that impressive as it was on race tires. The surface and tires makes so much difference in acceleration times that the numbers are almost meaningless sometimes. It’s like Ring lap times. The conditions can vary so widely in just one lap that a good lap time can have more to do with

So awesome you know he was the mechanic +1

I mean, looks super cool, but not street legal yet.

They always have delivered what the claimed they would in the past eventually, just never on the timelines they claim they will. Plus, they actually put journalists IN the car and did the acceleration with them at the event.

Is it wrong I just immediately notice the Thundercats insignia on the van? What’s weirder still is the van appears to be in some sort of livery. Is there some sort of Mexican ambulance service that’s using Thundercats as its logo?

The “might” Supra will make its return to the market soon. 335hp and weight 3275lbs. This is less power and more weight than a 1997 Corvette. Granted it will be much nicer inside, but performance numbers wise, this seems... disappointing. Discuss.

Comparing a gearbox the size of an F150 to the gearbox they use inside of an F150 doesn’t seem like a great argument.

A CVT doesn’t provide the required range of ratios.

It’s not stupid at all, there’s a very good reason this hasn’t been done, they can’t take the power.

Batshit sports cars barely being held together by sheer force of will

Yeah... no...

A real interior?? In a Toyota?? Have you seen the current camaro??

It took what it took. I would love to have an NSX.

Pretty sure that’s the Camry TRD pack

I’d like to die doing something I love when I’m like 90, though. If I’m in good health I’d like to get as much grandpa time as possible.
