Okay, so we quickly got the “what” so now, more importantly, the “why?”

$300 for 32TB? What kind of drives/deals did you come upon? I spent $550 on 16TB total (in 2018 - 2x 8TB).

I’m of the mind to always buy something that is more than I currently need. So, it sounds like the Air will work well for you, in the future you may actually want/need the Pro. Probably can’t go wrong with either - except the Pro only having 2 TB4 ports!

Question for those out there that have touchscreen pcs, not necessarily hybrid tablet ones because the answer there is obvious — do you use the touchscreen that much and find it a useful feature?

Yeah, I do use a hub sometimes but for some reason I find myself just not using one more often than using one. Don’t really think about it, just plug stuff in I guess.

I currently have 5 MBPs that I use for work (not all at once), all 4 port models and I use 4 ports most of the time. So if I needed to replace my current 2018 13" (primary) then the downgrade to only 2 ports would be annoying. Sure, I have hubs, but still...I’d rather just have 4 ports.

Uh, the MBP has had a 4 port option, and it’s the only option on the 16", since it was updated.

I’m a little skeptical of their benchmarks, we’ll see how it performs in real world testing. The thing that really bothers me though, only 2 USB-C ports! On a ‘Pro’ model! I’m in the market for a new Mac, but I have a feeling I’m going to wait a little longer.
