The Tyrells? The Ironborn?

I think it'd be a bit of a stretch for Cersei to still be on top at the end of this season. I think she'll be taken down, but it will take a lot of their strength/numbers to do it, leaving them weak against the Night's King

I'll be in my bunk

Martin enjoys worldbuilding more than pushing a narrative. We're more likely to get family trees of every Great House going back 1000 years, before we get the end of the series

I've done a reread of just the Cersei parts of 4 & 5. Fun little novella

If you read a single Margaret Atwood interview, she makes it emphatically clear that she pulled from a variety of society-sanctioned atrocities throughout history.

I'm in no way saying that being incarcerated is a walk in the park. But for some truly desperate people, it beats the street.

Absolutely

Nick's got a pretty big apartment for a servant. Damn.

That even exists today. People in dire straits will deliberately get themselves sent to prison because they'll have a bed and three meals

I really like the decision to make OfGlen 2.0 not a true believer, but someone whose life is "better" under the regime.

Never let Beyonce forget where she started!

To have a climax, you have to have action. Phasma was utterly wasted

My biggest gripe with TFA is that is does a piss-poor job of establishing what has happened in the Galaxy in the past 30 years

"Creativity" "humor"

I will tie his ass to the chair

"all the funniest, smartest, most interesting young YouTubers"

Every interview from an attendee I've seen had included, "there were a ton of red flags but I went anyway"

"One of my rules was that I would not put any events into the book that had not already happened in what James Joyce called the “nightmare” of history" — Margaret Atwood
